Well here they go again, trying to destroy the transport industry.I have just read about the new regulations starting from 2009!The new driver cpc course is here ,and it’s compulsory.A basic outline follows:-

COST-£300 APPROX

TO BE RENEWED EVERY 5 YEARS

So not only do we have the digital tachograph ,hgv medical, numerous hours to adhere to..we now have this pile of poop forced on us.

More stealth taxation it seems. Another good idea in theory, but in practice the only difference this…

To be honest Roberto,i have ate at many places but i considered most to be average.I try not to eat at the ‘services’,we know their ‘value for money’.When you stop on these MSA’s to park on a night, you are very lucky to get parked.Leicester Forest..Clacket Lane..South Mimms..all chocca-block. I was offered employment not so long ago,£300 p.w.London all week….but we dont pay parking.GREAT.Maybe he knew i wouldn’t get parked anyway!

Reply on Safe Parking in Britain?

Yes Rob,any driver worth his salt can resonate with everything you say.I remember the pallet incident in Grimsby very well. The way the trucker is treat in this country is like dirt. You try to get parked on the servicesw ,at the risk of getting clamped.Usually the furthest corners of the park, our foreign counterparts are treat with honour in other countries. And what happens when you need the ‘45er’ by law?No one gives a damn that it’s a legal requirement…
