On the subject of masters, I noticed that Mark Saxby (metalwork) had died on 15th November aged 74, after a long illness. I had encountered Mark now and then, over the last twenty years, at Vintage car events, woodworking events and post-card fairs. We turned out to have some similar interests. He almost once bought an Austin A30 from me!

The award-winning Hornsea Museum remains open this week before its winter break to allow you to look around for a pound!
You’ll be able to see all the regular exhibits plus a brand new exhibition of over 2000 pieces of Hornsea Pottery. This exhibition was opened a couple of weeks ago by the Antiques Roadshow’s Lars Tharp.
The museum is a registered charity.

Ive de-loused my pith helmet in readiness.
I attach a picture showing the Sissons’ factory complete with ‘two men and a ladder’. Not the picture I referred to earlier. I took this a few year ago when both the elastics on the bungee at Hull Fair snapped <G>.
