Last updated about 5 hours ago.

Had to start this off again given todays announcment that the government have completely surrendered to the energy companies.Having banded about words like ‘Windfall Tax’ , Price Capping’ and ‘Rebates to the Elderly’ what do we hear? .The government have now said that they will be putting any resource available in supporting homes to save energy by helping with things like loft insulation.Given the four main energy companies are foreign owned…

Last updated 2 days ago.

I know this is the second post on this subject today but i felt that i had to tell of my experience in dealing with teachers in one of Hulls poorest schools that today has been placed in ‘Special Measures’ an action of which i am not surprised.Firstly i will say my daughter has left this school with 9 GCSE’s at C or better so she is not a low achiever. However she was not happy with her Maths grade and i believe this was down to some of the…

He seems to say that allthough no one wants a war we would be prepered to fight one if it comes to it.I would ask with what would we fight??. Our armed forces are no longer capable of fighting a war in Europe. We have stripped the Rhine army and closed most of the bases , we have constantly underspent on the…

Last updated 15 days ago.

Does anyone think like me that even with the massive improvements in technology the weather forcasters seem totally unable to forcast accuratly much beyond 72 hrs. I run a business that to some degree is dependant on the weather and checkout the BBC weather sites on a regular basis. However it seems to me that forcasts beyond 3 days cannot be relied upon.Is it climate change effects that they cannot fathom out or are they reluctant to commit…

The Energy Crisis

Flame

After watching British Gas happily tell us we will have to pay up to 35% more for our gas and up to 9% for our electricity i got to wondering what the future holds for britains energy needs? Given that if they started building power stations now it would take up to 10 years to have a new nuclear reactor up and running ,Also given that we are going to rely on Russia for the bulk of our gas and the volatile middle east for our oil is it time for…
