In the news today I quote, benefit paid to foreign children living abroad has risen by 72% in just nine months.
Most of this money is going to Polish children who have never stepped foot in Britain but have a parent working here.
They get £977 a year for the first child and £652 for every child there after.
If you was a Brit working in Poland you would be entitled to £160 a year per child.
We are paying child benefit at British rates…

Talking at work today about the programme showing tonight with Fergie helping a family from Preston Road get thin by eating healthy. A colleague asked how do they get the statistics to say Hull is the fat capital.
Is it from doctors and hospitals, is it from walking down the street and doing a head count on anyone over a certain size! Do they get pepole to write in and say I’m a fatistic put me down? because nobody asked me. JulesJules
