I was disgusted today when i took my mother in law to collect her pension today from the local shops, the rubbish which was all over the place was disgusting, when i mentioned it to one of the shop keepers, they said its the kids from Andrew Marvell during lunch hour, when they ask them to use the bin there response is "at least we keeping someone in a job", its about time something was done about this type of behaviour, maybe if they sent the people who give out fines for throwing litter should pay a visit to this area.

Force the Hull magistrates to clean up the area. This may concentrate their minds & they will then sentence the perpertrators accordingly if they are ever brought before the courts.

It seems Greenwich Avenue and Shannon Road are ‘no go’ areas for Highways employees. Perhaps a change of Political representatives is required, as the three encumbants of Longhill Ward appear to be dinosaurs.

couldnt agree with you more peteg, maybe May 1st will give us the change we need, let someone else have a go, as our local ward councillors dont seem to have done that much to help our estates over the last 4yrs.

From 1956 to 1958, I used to be a Paperboy for TH Baker Newsagents(better known as Tom Bakers) at Greenwich and Shannon Road Longhill. Both areas were always clean and tidy, even round the chippie after the Dolphin closed at night.

They ought to send the litter knikers around the Greenwich Shops each lunch time and they would make a fortune for the city coffers. It starts off nice and tidy but once the kids have been there for their lunch its dreadful.

I have the same problem living in Parthian Road. There is a bin outside the shops on Hopewell Road, but the kids from Archbishop Thurstan school choose to throw their wrappers either in everyones gardens or just outside the shops. why don’t the shops clean it up after all they mainly open for the school kids and they’re get the biggest revenue from these kids, its easy coining it in so they should be liable for the mess.

once again i have taken my mum in law to greenwich shops to pick up her pension, school kids just stood there chucking there wrappers onto the floor, i decided to have a polite word with them, and guess what they did, carried on throwing more onto the floor these kids have no respect at all, i wish the council would sent the fine people round there and fine the bloody lot of them.

that will never happen.everyone knows where the worst places for litter are but you will only get caught on camera and fined if you are in the town centre.ever heard of it happening outside of there?
