Hope nobody minds me posting this subject here but my daughter’s sooo upset i’m trying everything. We have lost a white & black male neutered cat called CHIP on Fri 1 Aug. He was being looked after on Etherington Drive, Beverley Rd and escaped from the back of the house. He is wearing a blue collar with bell, name/address/tel no. tag, he is microchipped. Chip has a white face (see pic) and is very friendly. We think he may have been spotted in the area several times but everytime we go looking we can’t see him – fiendish cats. He lives in Sutton so won’t know the area he is in. If anyone can keep their eyes open we would really appreciate it and it would make my daughter one very happy girl. Many thanks.

loulou, I hope he is off chasing a hot queen and will be back very soon with a Cheshire Cat Grin on his face. Keep my paws crossed for his safe return.

What a lovely cat – hope he returns home soon, it’s horrible when your kitty goes missing.

We haven’t seen any cats since the floods, until this morning, when one similar to yours appeared on our garage roof. It disappeared too quickly to get a good look.
However, we back on to Springhead Golf Course which is quite a way from Beverley Road. I’ll try calling it if I see it again – what food does he like?

It might be a nice idea to bump this thread now and again so it stays somewhere near the top, at least until loulou gets her cat back.
Hope you get him back okay loulou, one of mine went missing and it was nine weeks before he finally turned up on the doorstep. So don’t give up hope. :-)

hi everyone thanks for all your comments and concern and we have GOOD NEWS! Spent over 4 hours searching the surrounding streets yesterday (Thursday) and all I can say is that people on that part of Bev Road are very friendly and helpful. Just thinking bout calling it a day at 10pm, horrible dark and wet night, when we heard him miaowing as we called his name. Found him under a car bout 50 metres from where he went missing. Ran straight to me, took him home and he was completely starving, couldn’t get food down fast enough. he looks completely fine just a bit thinner and he hasn’t left our sides yet! so thank you again everyone and i’m so glad that for us its a happy ending.

Thanks again everyone. I think we were very lucky to get him back in under a week not everyone’s as fortunate. we are all very happy now, especially daughter who insists he sleeps on her bed every night. he usually goes out most nights but has shown no interest so must be traumatised by his experience! i guess that’s one of his 9 lives down the swanny. even the dog looks pleased to see him (cat food leftovers probably being the main interest) and they are laid together as i speak!

tracybailey – you need to start your own discussion about Psycho so that his photo is at the top of the thead, like Chip’s was. Hope you find him (I have lost cats in the past and one, the image of Chip, was never found) and isn’t this a good idea to put them on here?

tracy – really sorry to hear about Psycho. we lost Chip for nearly a week and as I said b4 found him just around the corner. The lady from Cat Protection said young cats tend not to stray too far if they are neutered, don’t know if your cat has been ‘done’. Sure enough Chip within shouting distance of the house but it still took 7 nights to find him. if you can you need to be going out looking and calling for him at a quiet time of day such as first thing or late at night when there’s not so much background noise. we found chip at 10pm on a cold wet night hiding under a car from the rain so it can be done. also suggest you ring all the cat rescue places, rspca and, a horrible thing to do i know, but the Cleansing Dept at the Council incase he has been found on the road. Not nice but i’d rather know. we put posters up in the area and took them into local shops, post offices, vets etc. sorry tracy you’ve prob already done ALL of this and i’m just going on…. good luck in your search, don’t give up!
