I believe it is, fishing for fun and adventure, not for food. I have no problems with a man who takes a salmon or trout out of the water and eats it for dinner, even if he greatly enjoys the taking. What appalls me is fishing for its own sake.

For several days now, there have been problems with this site, which used to work fairly well. Can we just stop having ‘improvements’, and stick with something that works – or used to?

If you must have ‘experts’ upgrading the site, can they practice it ‘off line’, where they don’t do any damage?

Could someone please enlighten me as to why the police have been pulling motorists over to take part in a census? And, more specifically, why they choose to do this at peak rush hour times? Traffic has deteriorated with the return of the school runs, so I cannot understand this additional disruption. I was late for work this morning after a very slow journey to work, as were several of my colleagues… Is it me?

No wonder we have such good comedy writers – you couldn’t make it up.

Can you remember your school days and teachers. I can we were a lit bit cheeky but not to much they were a few that went a little over the top but they were few and far between.

This has been eating away at me. Just before the gas price increases, I got a letter from British Gas telling me my electricity direct debit was going to be doubled. I rang them up and said there is no way they are doubling it. They said that even though I’m in credit! they had no choice, so I said fair enough, and cancelled my direct debit and asked them to send me a paper bill every quarter instead. Which is now what’s happening.
