The current thinking in schools seems to be that all the kids are going to grow up into career whizzkids or company directors, shove their kids into nursery and concentrate on work work work. What about the ones that don`t get high earning jobs or just want to be stay at home Mums(or Dads). What life skills should they be learning? Should parenting skills be taught in schools? Maybe if teenaged girls realised what life would entail with a baby…

Could anyone clarify a rumer i have heard regarding Swanland road, Hessle. That it is to be blocked of for good at the top where it joins boothferry road. I was recently surrounded by Hull youngsters. As ever I was very impressed with their highly intelligent can do attitude. There are some wonderful teachers, who engage and encourage our children in art and craft from a very early age. We have wonderful staff at our first class Feren’s Art Gallery. We have tons of discarded newspaper. Why not do the obvious and bring all together. Our brilliant kids could knock together some brilliant and very individual…
