Why Hull Fair?

Hull_fair

Last updated 25 minutes ago.

Is it time for Hull to dump Hull fair? I think so, Lets face it its expensive, shabby, Noisy, smelly, it attracts the local "gang thugs" its a logistical nightmare for the police, ambulance services etc. It causes traffic chaos not just for the poor residents but for all road users, the fair fleeces the local economy out of millions of pounds. And the carbon footprint must be enormous. Can the people of Hull afford this annual nightmare?

Manuel-uribe-heaviest-man-world

by Lazarus 2 days ago
Last updated about 2 hours ago.

As the government moves science further into the classroom, is this just a healthy concern for the welfare and upbringing of children, or perhaps a too-pervasive policy that seeks, once again, to punish the victim rather than the real culprits.

Should the government begin a campaign of finger-pointing, or should their…

Working Women Cause Family Breakdown

Work-life-balance

by Lazarus 1 day ago
Last updated about 2 hours ago.

It is indeed an impossible choice for women, to work long hours in the workplace and to then hurry home to cater for hubby and the snivelling little ingrates. But now a recent Cambridge University (Conservative) study, has academically revealed women do not want this cut-and-thrust responsibility, and along with their male counterparts, conclude their fanciful notions of working is the prime cause of the breakdown of society.

By removing women…

Hope nobody minds me posting this subject here but my daughter’s sooo upset i’m trying everything. We have lost a white & black male neutered cat called CHIP on Fri 1 Aug. He was being looked after on Etherington Drive, Beverley Rd and escaped from the back of the house. He is wearing a blue collar with bell, name/address/tel no. tag, he is microchipped. Chip has a white face (see pic) and is very friendly. We think he may have been spotted in…
