Back in 1951, I used to spend a lot of time in the Orchard Park area. At that time Orchard Park Road ran in one continous line starting at Beverley Road and ending at North Moor Lane on the fringes of Cottingham. The South side of the road being the northern boudary of North Hull Estate. There was no Orchard Park or Dane Park Estates , no high rise flats- nothing but open countryside.
