Final preparations are well under way for the Garden Village Centenary celebrations which take place on Sunday 27th starting at 12.15 with the unveiling of a plaque by Mrs Mary Reckitt, and then the re-enactment of the opening ceremony at No 7 The Oval at 1.15. The Garden Village Summer fete will also be taking place with stalls and rides, music,food, martial arts display and Irish Dancing. During the day there will be a series of historical walks through the village where walkers will meet characters and hear stories about the last 100 years of Garden Village.

Saw the stone at the top of Village Road this morning when I took the children to park. Looking forward to Sunday and I hope the weather remains fine for you all.
