The spirit of the Olympics will be burning bright in the city, thanks to a series of workshops being launched. Families are invited to join Hull Libraries’ Team Read and take part in free craft sessions to celebrate the Olympics. Parents, grand- parents and carers with children over the age of four will all be able to have a go at making their own games and crafts with a sporting theme at libraries around the city. On Monday, workshops will be taking place at the Freedom Centre Library and Adult Education Centre on the Preston Road Estate, east Hull, from 10am to noon, and Ings CSC and library, Savoy Road, east Hull, from 2pm to 4pm. Workshops will be held on Tuesday at the Avenues Library, Chanterlands Avenue, west Hull, from 10am to noon, and at Fred Moore Library, Wold Road, west Hull, from 2pm to 4pm. Bransholme Library will host a workshop on Wednesday, from 10am to noon, followed by a session at Greenwood Avenue Library, west Hull, from 2pm to 4pm. Booking is essential and children must be accompanied by an adult.
