Cats need new homes
from the Hull Daily Mail/East Riding Mail Thursday, August 7
Beverley and Pocklington Cats Protection branch is hoping to find new homes for unwanted cats and kittens. The branch will hold an open morning at the pens at 221, Hull Road, Woodmansey, on Sunday, from 10.30am to 1pm to try to find new loving homes for some of the cats and kittens in their care.
Branch co-ordinator Sheila Rees said: “Almost every phone call is a request to take in a cat or litters of kittens. “Unfortunately, many people are not having their cats neutered and this increases the kitten population.” Kittens from Cats Protection are fully vaccinated, have been treated for fleas and worms and come with six-weeks’ free insurance.
Cats Protection also pays for micro-chipping when the kitten is neutered. For further details, call (01482) 882347 or (01482) 861866 or visit www.bpcp.org.uk
