Plans to extend the Tesco supermarket in Hall Road have been deferred. The plans to expand the store by almost a third and move the petrol station to other side of the car park were supposed to come under review at a Hull City Council meeting yesterday. However, Tesco officials seeking planning permission for the expansion asked for the review to be deferred to a later date.

Investigations are continuing after armed robbers stole money from a city petrol station. As reported in later editions of yesterday’s Mail, four men carrying bladed weapons entered the Esso petrol station in Beverley Road, Hull, at about 11.30pm on Tuesday.
