I live in Cape Town South Africa and am looking for my dad’s family who live in Hull. My grandparents are Arthur and Ena Black. They had 4 children Ian, Terry, Patrick (my dad) and Vanessa. I have researched the Dowson family for some thirty years now. The Dowsons descended from those of Rudston, Hutton Cranswick, Langtoft and surroundings that is. I’d be pleased to hear from any relatives. The photograph shows Florence Dowson and her family. Florence married her cousin Richard Dowson and, Like several other Dowsons, emigrated to Canada about a hundred years ago.
