Welcome to new member, Tim Tweddel.
If you lived near Botanic, Tim, you’ll have spent some time looking over this bridge.

If this was taken from Argyle Street bridge, I practically lived there! I also had the good fortune to go to Thomas Stratten Junior School which adjoined the railway, and lived down Trinity Street which backed on to the Botanic shed. In addition to spending a lot of time at Paragon Station, we regularly made sorties to Dairycoates and Springhead sheds. How I wish now I’d had a camera in those days.

Colombo – Will you be looking in on the annual Model Railway Show in November? If so, I’ll see you there.
Tim – Any relation to the late Bob?

Tim: I’m pretty certain to be going to the Model Railway Show. I don’t think I had any relations called Bob.
If you went up to Dairycoates, you’ll probably have spent time, looking over this bridge.

Colombo – It’s me that’s going to the Railway Show, not Tim (at least I don’t think he is). It’s also me asking Tim about Bob.

Sorry, Q; I’m having to manage without my specs, whilst they are being fitted with new lenses. Please accept this view of a D49 at Springhead as an apology.

More views of Hull’ sheds.
This is one which I took, with my Kodak Brownie 127 just outside the foreman’s office at Dairycoates. 17th March 1957.
