Where do you consider to be the best places to stop and fill up with a good meal? Who do you consider to offer good value for money?
Tell us fellow truckers about the best Transport cafes, what facilities they have, what food they offer, how accessible they are, overnight parking charges, etc etc.
Local and not so local.
A particular favourite of mine is "Stainmore Cafe" on the A66 between scotch corner and penrith. Not a particularly large parking area and rough potholed ground to say the least, but a damn good all day breakfast and roughly halfway if you are coming back down from Glasgow or nearby.

To be honest Roberto,i have ate at many places but i considered most to be average.I try not to eat at the ‘services’,we know their ‘value for money’.When you stop on these MSA’s to park on a night, you are very lucky to get parked.Leicester Forest..Clacket Lane..South Mimms..all chocca-block. I was offered employment not so long ago,£300 p.w.London all week….but we dont pay parking.GREAT.Maybe he knew i wouldn’t get parked anyway!

Noah, I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy to spend Nights out down in the south. You are absolutely right in pointing out the lack of places to park in that neck of the woods. Even the Industrial estates are out of bounds because they all seem to be adopting the yellow lines everywhere and some estates even have signs up saying "overnight parking will result in being clamped". No Parking, No hot meals, what a life eh?
