Having just read the Hull Daily Mail(wednesday ‘jobs night’edition),i really cant see where this driver shortage has begun.I do hear on the vine that a lot of work is in the Leeds area, but not much around here.Even the bad employers don’t advertise now like they did a few years ago, though i expect minimum wage still applies!I thought that with the apparent increase in container traffic through Hull, there would be some more recruiting taking place from the likes of Mr Lunn etc.Anyway i haven’t done container work, with sliding skeletons and stuff.Any idea what it entails lads,or if its a good ‘un?

Containers, not my cup of tea. Easy enough work but too much time sat getting bored. A lot of firms pay a different rate for tipping and loading compared to driving time. Like your time isn’t as valuable to them while you are tipping
