I think everyone is too busy to get involved in this little group. It is so relaxing sitting for a couple of hours painting you wonder where to time went to. I couldn’t draw and paint 4years ago but with a good teacher she just bought the best in me. I love it. This is a pastel I did a good time ago.

Hi Gwen, I,m sure once others see more of our wonderful pictures like your pastel we will see things grow. This is a pastel I did some years ago but still love creating with pastel, I prefer chalk to oil whats your preference.

I painted lots of water colour in my time. I was told that it was difficult to paint water colour, but I found it easy than any other. I painted in black and white and miniature religious paintings which sold. I don’t have any that I can post here, because they were sold to individuals who happened to like them. They were things like a black and white Buddist monk looking out onto a peaceful garden, or a group of monks walking in a straight line with clogs on, or a priest giving confession in a street scene in Italy. I couldn’t create these myself, I had to take them from photographs I saw in books. (I don’t know if I’ve gone against copyright ont this, does anyone else know?) I do get lost in painting and it is so relaxing, but I just don’t have the time to do it. I think artwork on the site is coming out very well. Ps. Johnny, I haven’t forgotten your prologue in the Creative Writing Group. I’ll write something shortly.

Hi Rosy, your question on copy right. I believe you are allowed to copy photos without infringing copyright because you have artistic license which even though your copying your not if you get my drift.

Thanks karl, I thought it must be something like that, and believe you me, mine are very different from the original photographs.
