from the Hull Daily Mail/East Riding Mail on Monday, June 9

Poets are being sought to enter a competition to have their work published in a national book. The National Poetry Anthology picked 290 winners from different towns last year, but has so far not received enough entries from people in Hull. Editor Peter Quinn said: "We want the new edition to include a winners from every town and village in the Mail’s circulation area." Anyone interested in entering should send three unpublished poems on any subject of up to 20 lines and 160 words to United Press Ltd, Admail 3735, London EC1B by Monday, June 30. The overall winner will receive £1,000.
