I took this photo of the Humber at high tide when the river was very calm as the sun was setting. I thought it was a very tranquil view of the Humber even though, if you look carefully enough, you might just see the industry on the south bank!

    You certainly get your timing right, Bob. I usually get a big black cloud coming over at such moments.

    I’ll bet it’s the same big black cloud that I usually get, Colombo! This particular evening saw a rare cloudless sky over the Humber – the gently rippling river was like silk. I just waited for a bird to come along and I thought it completed the pic. By the way, welcome to the Wildlife group!

    Cheers, The-Tom. I’d love to say that I was sipping a pina colada at the time but in fact was finishing the luke-warm dregs from a flask of tea!
