Here’s a couple of shots taken of Victoria Pier after the sun had dipped below the horizon. The skies on these occasions were wonderful I thought one of these looked a bit like ‘war of the worlds’! I didn’t know whether to take photographs or run for cover… The high-tide often sees a ‘lull’ before it turns resulting in a relatively calm (depending on the wind) river and this all helps with the reflections of sky. I took this photo of the Stadium after heavy rain, just before sunset. I was crossing over from Anlaby road to Argyle Street. The rain eased and the sun came out in the last few minutes before sunset illuminating the wet path.
